Alvio Receives Pilot Health Tech NYC Grant

We are overjoyed to announce that Alvio has received a prestigious grant from Pilot Health Tech NYC, an innovative program developed by the New York City Economic Development Corporation that aims to partner young healthcare technology corporations with NYC healthcare service organizations to provide an opportunity for pilot testing new technologies that will in some way improve the health of NYC.

With this award, we will collaborate with the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore to examine whether Alvio can increase lung function testing of children with asthma, improve detection of poorly controlled asthma, and improve asthma management in a sample of Bronx pediatric primary care patients. To measure success, we will compare baseline care to an asthma management plan that revolves around Alvio.

On a small scale, this grant serves as the initiation of Alvio into clinical practice but more significantly, on a large scale, celebrates a milestone for leading an evolution in respiratory health. Many thanks to the NYCEDC and Health 2.0 for awarding us with this opportunity to pilot our study in the Bronx community.
